Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge

Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge encompasses over 16,000 acres near Smyrna, along the Delaware Bay. The refuge is a haven for the diverse wildlife, including spring shorebirds, fall waterfowl, summer wading birds, songbirds, deer, beavers and red foxes. Turtles, frogs, insects, salamanders and non-poisonous snakes also live in the refuge.

Visit the refuge to view the animals, while walking along the five walking trails or while driving on the twelve-mile road. Climb up the stairs in the three observation towers for an incredible view of the surrounding cordgrass meadows, tidal pools, and tidal salt marsh. While traveling along the Delaware coast, rest comfortably with Best Western hotels.
